A part of an under-construction flyover in Nusrat Bhutto Colony fell on Thursday, creating anxiety among residents and passers-by.
A tiny piece of the flyover caved in near the Bolan Hotel, according to officials at the Shahrah-i-Noorjahan police station. Fortunately, 2 or 3 people’s injuries or no deaths were recorded as a result of the incident.
Ghulam Nabi Afridi (SHO) About Flyover Collapses
Ghulam Nabi Afridi, Station House Officer (SHO), assured the reporters that the engineers will be able to explain the cause of the collapse. He went on to say that as it fell, heavy building stuff was dumping on it.
According to an Edhi Foundation representative, the bridge pillar could not handle the load and collapsed.
According to the news, this flyover is a private residential society project. Its focus is to link North Nazimabad to Naya Nazimabad (in Manghopir).
The two-kilometer flyover will let thousands of cars go fast and avoid traffic jams at Qalandaria Chowk and other residential areas.
