Pak Suzuki is famous in Pakistan as a small car producer. The production and sale of small cars by Suzuki in Pakistan are on a great level. Company import Ciaz completely built unit (CBU) for Pakistan local auto market. The demand for this sedan is very low it might be the reason for its slow market promotion. As the company promotes its small car they never focus on Ciaz promotion.
As compared to the international market company failed to introduce all features in Pakistan. Suzuki Ciaz never satisfies its consumer in Pakistan. If the company focused on the features they will give a tough time to Honda City and Toyota Corolla variants. But they are failed in the marketing of this sedan.
According to our recourse Pak Suzuki planning to discontinued this sedan in Pakistan. In 2019 Pak Suzuki discontinued the production of Mehran and introduce all-new Alto 660cc for the local market. Alto 660cc boost Pak Suzuki sale and known as the best replacement of Mehran.
It is expected that Pak Suzuki will introduce something new to replace the Ciaz. In March 2020 Suzuki introduces the 5th generation of Ciaz in Thailand. The consumer market of Ciaz expected that company will also introduce this new generation in Pakistan with all its good and latest features but it’s not happened.
The sale of the Ciaz sedan also affected by the lockdown of COVID-19. Pak Suzuki faces a 60% decline in sales due to this pandemic situation. Although it’s not Pak Suzuki only to survive in also all other auto manufacturers also face a decline in the sale. The government imposed lock-down all over the Pakistan and car dealership stores are closed. Until the government permission, the production of the vehicle is closed.
Moreover, the strength of dollar increase and its always affect the prices of the vehicle. Might be the prices of vehicle increase after lock-down. Toyota Pakistan has already increased the price of its upcoming Yaris. Toyota postpones the launching but revealed the specifications and price of its Yaris sedan.
