Is Suzuki Swift Going to be Updated in Pakistan?

Overview

Finally, PAK Suzuki has decided to discontinued Suzuki Swift in Pakistan next year. Suzuki will stop producing its Swift in Pakistan from August 2021 stated by the company. Swift is equipped with 1300cc engine power and very famous in Pakistan’s local auto market.

Suzuki Swift In Pakistan

The generation of Swift we have in Pakistan is 2nd generation that was launched in Pakistan back in 2010 and in the international market, it was launched 6 years earlier than Pakistan. In 2016 the company had face a decline in sales and made a new TV ad for Swift instead of introducing a new generation but never receive a maximum response from customers. As the vehicles are going to be old its value in the market going down. Today Suzuki Swift 1300cc has a strong competitor market in which KIA Picanto and FAW V2 are top of the line.

Swift Sale in 2019

In 2019 local automakers has face decline due to the additional tax imposed by the government in budget 2019-2020. In budget 2019-2020 government had imposed FED Tax on all vehicles and after the announcement auto manufacturers had increased the price of vehicles that had been affecting the sale. According to the report in the first two quarters of the year 2019 Suzuki had sold 1,440 units of Swift. Meanwhile, in the same time period, the 2020 company had only sold 280 units of Swift.

PAK Suzuki Statement Regarding Production

According to the company now the company will change its production units strategy, now the total production number would remain the same but monthly production numbers may change according to the demand of customers. Maybe the company may want to get all their stock out and planning for something new for its customers. It does not confirm yet Suzuki will introduce the next generation of Swift may be Suzuki will replace Swift with something better.

Swift Face Lift 2020

After 4 years Swift has received a face-lift version of the 4th generation that has been launched in Japan a few months back. The company has made some minor changes in the interior, exterior and made some improvements in specifications and equipment. Thre are no major changes made in the face-lift model of 4th generation. The starting price of Swift face-lift 2020 in Japan ¥ 1,535, 600 (PKR 22.9 Lacs).

PAK Suzuki is a well known Japanese auto maker in Pakistan and provide its vehicle from many years in Pakistan. The company is a pioneer of local auto industry. In 2019 company has discontinued production of Mehran in Pakistan and replace it with all new Alto 660cc. Suzuki has introduce three different variants of Alto 660cc VX (without AC) VXR (with AC) VXL AGS ( with AC and Automatic Transmission). This time we can expect that Suzuki will never disoppoint its customers and bring something good for us.
