Overview
Hyundai Mobis debuted its latest e-corner module in 2021, and it can already be spotted on a few of the company’s designs.
Today, though, they’ve attracted attention by displaying an Ioniq 5 prototype that is almost like Ioniq 6 furnished with four e-corner modules.

The modules allow the wheels to rotate up to 90 degrees, providing vehicles with remarkable mobility. The prototype, as seen in the video, has a “crab driving” mode in which all four wheels turn 90 degrees. This allows the vehicle to drive side to side rather than only forward and back. Needless to say, parallel parking would be a breeze because you’d simply pull up alongside an open spot and slip right in.
There is a zero-turn function for when you need to turn around rapidly. The wheels rotate at a 45-degree angle, allowing the prototype to spin around 360 degrees.

Additionally, the prototype, like the GMC Hummer EV, can drive diagonally. There’s also a pivot turn option that keeps the front wheels straight while turning the back wheels 90 degrees. It’s comparable to the zero turn function, except the turning radius appears to be slightly larger.
Hyundai Motors didn’t say much about the prototype, but observed that the film depicts the “real-life motions” permitted by e-corner modules and that their “benefits in limited downtown or cargo areas should be self-evident.”
Conclusion
As we already stated, the business recently unveiled a prototype of the ‘Afeela’ at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas. That is not so far when we heard that cars will fly in the air. This technology will also we will see soon. Because the automobile sector is developing very fast.
