Finally, Honda has also announced the prices of its cars that are affected by the 25% GST that the government has imposed on luxury items and 1400cc and above cars added in it. It is the 4th time just in 2 and a half months that Honda car prices revised.
Atlas Honda has cited the same reasons as other car makers. The depreciation of the rupee value against the dollar and unfavorable government statements of taxes leads the change in prices of Honda cars. Honda’s most popular cars Honda City and Civic are also affected by the new tax jump.
Honda Civic Price After 25% GST
Honda Civic all variants are affected by the new tax. Prices are changed as mentioned below.
- Civic 1.5L M-CVT price increased by Rs. 820,000 and now its costs you Rs. 8,599,000.
- However, Civic 1.5L Oriel M-CVT now cost you Rs.8,949,000 after an increase of Rs. 850,000 from the old price of Rs. 8,099,000.
- The last affected variant is the Honda Civic 1.5L LL-CVT whose price is now Rs. 10,199,000 compared to the old price of Rs. 9,199,000.
Honda City
- Honda City 1.2L M/T is now available for Rs. 4,799,000 against the previous price of Rs. 4,579,000.
- City 1.2L CVT previous price was Rs. 4,729,000 but after 25% GST, the new price is Rs. 4,929,000.
- Meanwhile, Honda City 1.5L CVT was available for 5,019,000 a few days before but now it cost you Rs. 5,549,000.
- Similarly, City Aspire 1.5L M/T used to cost Rs. 5,229,000 but after the new GST it new price is Rs. 5,759,000.
- The last one is Honda City Aspire 1.5L CVT new price is Rs. 5,979,000 compared to the old price of Rs. 5,419,000.
Updated Price of Honda BR-V
Honda BR-V saw a jump of Rs. 580,000 and now its costs you Rs. 6,529,000 against the price of Rs. 5,949,000.
New Price of Honda HR-V
- Honda HR-V VTi had at Rs. 7,199,000 but after a jump of Rs. 700,000, it reached Rs. 7,899,000.
- Meanwhile, the HR-V VTi S price changed from Rs. 7,399,000 to Rs. 8,199,000.
Conclusion
The government’s decision is the reason for the price hike. But the new prices make the huge distance of buying for customers. Previously, we only considered SUVs, and CUVs are out of the buying range, but now sedans are also considered to look from long distance.
