It seems like the trend of increasing car prices with the new year 2020 is common in Pakistan Auto Industry. After Pak Suzuki and IMC Toyota, now the Honda Atlas also increase the prices of its cars by up to PKR 100,000. The prices of cars increased according to the model and variant and the new prices of Honda Atlas cars affect from 16th January 2020. Here is the official notice sent by the Honda Atlas:
Honda Atlas sent the above notice to all its dealership across Pakistan and the company has not mentioned any reason behind the increase in car prices. The surprising thing is there is no change in taxes and the government has not imposed any extra taxes on automakers. The last year was not doing good for automakers and auto manufacturers face a loss in sales even their plants shut down for many days in the last 4 months of 2019. The beginning of the new year increases the demand for cars in the country might be auto manufacturers recover their previous loss with the increase of car prices.
