Here is the big latest news about the two Japanese companies Honda and Sony building a new Electric Car. As per resources, Today, Honda Motor Limited and Sony Group Corporation declared that they made an agreement to develop a new Electric car technology. The two companies Honda and Sony signed a contract that is a joint plan to develop and sell high-value Added Electric vehicles (EVs) to provide transportation services.
Companies Official Statements:
According to the statement, both companies aim to build a new company in partnership and the new company will be established at the end of this year, and the name is not revealed yet, they also said that the construction sites are under discussion. The Honda Company would manufacture electric vehicles in its Honda factory for sale at the start of 2025 and will export its new vehicles to different countries like the U.S, Europe, and Japan. It will become a more advanced company in the electric-powered vehicle market.
What CEO of Sony Stated?
The CEO of Sony Kenichiro Yoshida said that this is probably a unique approach but through this joint project we can create a new, unexpected mobility technology by activating Honda Strategy and this technology would be a “mega-trend” of the next decade.
In the new project, Honda will contribute to producing electric vehicles and after that in sales services. On other hand, Sony will specialize in imaging, sensing telecommunication, and network technologies.
Launch date and Price not Decided Yet:
The companies did not give more details on how much they expect to sell and will price and after manufacturing how the vehicle will look like etc.
