In March 2022, Toyota IMC sold 3,490 Corolla vehicles, making it the month’s second best-selling vehicle. The compact sedan Corolla has been enjoying the title of the most popular sedan in Pakistan for over 25 years.
Highest Selling Sedan:
Corolla has been the most popular compact sedan among consumers not just in Pakistan, but around the world, since its launch. With several generations and facelifts, the car has made a lot of progress. In the year 2022, Corolla has sold 3490 units, which is more than any other sedan vehicles in the market. In comparison, Honda sold only 390 units.
The compact sedan won this status by handling defeated Honda City and Toyota Yasir. The Toyota Corolla was the most popular sedan in Pakistan until the Yaris soundly defeated it in 2020. However, the sedan has reclaimed its title from the Yaris by increasing its sales from October 2021. Corolla sales are reportedly 64 percent greater than the less expensive Yaris sedan. This shows that Corolla has no direct competitors in its pricing range.
Indus Motor Company:
From January 2022, Indus Motor Company (IMC) has stopped revealing individual Corolla and Yaris sales. The company has presented them as a combined figure just as Honda does with the Civic and City. Due to the decline in Yaris sales since 2014, the car has begun to lose its grip against the Changan Alsvin and the 6th Generation Honda City.
Toyota Corolla Sold Units:
The 11th generation Corolla is already in its eighth year of manufacture in our nation, having sold over 0.31 million units since its launch in June 2014, but with such great sales, IMC is unlikely to bring the new 12th generation model here very soon.
