Government Launches National Road Safety Strategy

Government is going to announce the national road safety strategy to save thousands of life who died in the road accident. Every year thousands of life destroyed due to the road accident. Now the government is going to announce “National Road Safety Strategy 2018-2030” to save lives. If we are looking back there are 9 million life’s loss due to road accident annually. In Pakistan every 5 minutes someone killed by the road accident. This strategy is for long-term road safety for Pakistan and practical evidence-based actions to improve on national provision and local roads.

How To Save Yourself?

If you are in the traffic focus on the road and thing that were happened around you. Try to slow drivers in the traffic and do not lose your confidence in the road.

Here are some tips to save your self

  • Always wear the seat belt for your safety.
  • Do not use mobile
  • Focus on your driving
  • Look around what happened around you
  • Do not try to take over others on the road
  • Follow the speed limit
  • Follow the traffic signals
  • Follow traffic rules

Strategy

This strategy is made to save lives from the road accident and develop awareness in the people to save yourself from the road accident. This strategy also speaks to growing the need for action to minimize road use. The target of this target of this strategy is to save more than 6000 lives by 2030. This strategy is addressed all road and road users especially road users such as the motorcycle, passengers, rivers, safe vehicle, and post-crash response. In this Road Safety Strategy, the government provides a comprehensive database strategy for all road users including Vulnerable Road Users (VRU). Road safety strategy is very important for Pakistan because some of the road users did not know the rules of the road and drive badly on the road and this is the big cause of an accident. The increasing of road accident day by day government start this strategy to create awareness in the people how to save their live and other people who drive on the road.

Recommendations

Minister of State for Communications Muraad Saeed said that road safety is the major health issue in Pakistan. Estimate that in every 5 minutes someone killed on the road accident and injured badly. The improvement in road safety is very important for Pakistan because human suffering the economic cost is estimated to be 3-5 percent of Pakistan’s GDP. He said that change the driving license mechanism, road infrastructure plan and monitoring vehicle condition. Humans safety is most important for every country and it’s not important what the cost you spend on its importance is the lives of humans. Road safety plan basically provides to change the road environment and knows about how to drive safely on the road without creating any tragedy. Save yourself from the road accident is to follow the safety rules and as a good citizen do not cross the following line and try to teach others and help others to save their lives.
