An American multinational automaker, Ford Motor Co. has just unveiled the first-ever electric pickup truck especially developed for the police. The company announced that it would be launched 2023 F-150 Lightning Pro SSV, America’s first all-electric pickup truck that is designed for police department. The zero-emission pickup combines the benefits of an electric powertrain with several upgrades over a standard consumer F-150 Lightning Pro Special Service Vehicle (SSV).
2023 F-150 Lightning Pro SSV:


The F-150 Lightning Pro SSV designed to meet specific departmental requirements outside of pursuit situations. The Built Ford Tough power and performance of the 2023 Ford F-150 Lightning Pro SSV also combines with the vehicle’s cutting-edge electric platform and Ford Pro’s real-time software. This power allows it to accelerate from 0-60 mph in just four-second. The specific interior features of the Police Responder electric pickup include police-grade heavy-duty cloth seats, built-in steel intrusion plates, and roof-mounted LED warning beacons.
Standard Features and Technology:


The vehicle comes with various upgrades features including a 12-inch digital cluster screen and a 12-inch landscape-style touchscreen on the center stack. The Mega Power offers 14.1 cubic feet of lockable cargo area in the front for carrying extra supplies like first-aid kits, ratchet straps, and, high-powered weapons. It also includes Intelligent Range, SYNC 4, over-the-air Ford Power up software updates, and Ford Co-Pilot 360 technology, including automatic emergency braking with cross-traffic alert and Blind Spot Information System.
F-150 Intended Performance:

Standard-Range Battery: F-150 anticipates 452 horsepower, 775 pound-feet of torque, and a 7,700-pound towing capacity with the standard range battery option.
Extended-Range Battery: While, the Pro SSV outfitted with the optional Extended Range Battery and Maximum Trailer Tow Pack, expect to deliver 580 horsepower, 775 pound-feet of torque, and 10,000 pounds of towing capacity.
