Gas & Oil (GO) is the fastest-growing market now become the first electric vehicle charging facility introduce in Pakistan. Oil Marketing Company announced that it introduces an EV charging facility in Pakistan to promote the EV policy.
The international market already adopts EV policy and produce electric battery charging vehicles. Pakistan also working to provide EV cars, motorbikes, and rickshaws. Sazgar a well-organized rickshaw manufacturer introduced first-time electric rickshaw in Pakistan. PTI government is keen to introduce EV vehicles in Pakistan and have a plant to convert 30% vehicles into EV vehicles by the end of 2030. the introduction of EV charging facility in Pakistan is the need for EV policy.
To promote the government’s EV plan GO introduces the first EV charging facility across Pakistan. The ceremony was held on 15th April 2020.
The first EV charging Unit has been installed at GO’s operated outlet COCO-3 near Expo Center Lahore. International automakers BMW and Audi introduce its electric vehicle in Pakistan and this EV charging unit helps its customers for vehicle charging.
While talking to the media Khalid Riaz the Chairman and CEO of GO said that being a responsible corporation we aim to take leadership action for the environment. Oil & Gas (GO) will provide its best to promote EV vehicles in Pakistan and allow its customers to freedom of drive.
Chief Strategy and Business Development Offer at GO Ammar Ali Talaat said that we have the plan to provide EV charging facility at major points in which Motorway and National highway is included to make sure the traveling in EV is easy. This initiative step for EV charging facility help to grow up Pakistan EV policy.
