Fiat has revealed the first official photos of the interior of their forthcoming Cronos subcompact sedan. The Fiat Cronos sedan, revealed last month, will be on sale in South American markets in 2018.

Coming to the interior, the dashboard layout is the same as that of Argo hatchback with slight variation in colors used. In the exterior, The Cronos features a different grille as compared to Argo with a particular chrome louver and a finer mesh. The bumper is different too having wedge-shape chromic fog lamp enclosures together with the upper edge of the air intake. At the rear, the tail lamp design and the LED graphics imitate as that of the hatchback.

In provisions of engine choice, the Cronos comes equipped with:
- A 109hp, 1.3-liter petrol engine mated to a five-speed manual and
- A 139hp, 1.8-liter flex-fuel engine getting the choice of a six-speed automatic gearbox.

Fiat will launch the Cronos sedan possibly with different names & minor tweaking in design & equipment when aimed towards different markets worldwide.
Last year Fiat showed its aim to step into our market. Stefano Pontecorvo, the Italian Ambassador to Pakistan, had met with the ex-Finance Minister, Ishaq Dar and talked about the intentions of Fiat to make Pakistan “it’s next potential investment destination”.

In 2016, Mr. Miftah Ismail, Chairman Board of Investment, had also visited Italy to discuss with Fiat officials on the subject of their plans to explore Pakistani market; nevertheless nothing much has carried on since then. We are yet to hear an official word from Fiat concerning their plans to enter Pakistan, however if they do, it will sure bring upon some healthy rivalry in the auto sector here.
