The Federal Investigation Agency’s (FIA) Cyber Crime Wing (CCW) arrested a person involved in digital petrol theft in Lahore. According to HUM News, CCW acted in response to information received from a private Oil Marketing Company (OMC).

In an interview with the media, FIA Deputy Director Asif Iqbal Chaudhry state that these pumps were short-measure through remote-controlled electrical devices. The FIA received an anonymous tip, searched these stations, and detained the employees implicated in this scam.

“The gadget measures one liter on 800 ml, 850ml, or 900ml,” Chaudhry Asif Iqbal explains, adding that the FIA search four pumps, all of which were implication in this crime.

The thief was arrested by the FIA and his mobile phone, tampering chip, and remote control were taken. While the report does not specify his punishment, the thief is expecting to face substantial penalties and time in jail for his actions.
How Culprit did Scam for petrol looting?
The culprit, identified as Amjad Khan, apparently fitted a tiny chip to a fuel dispenser. Amjad controlled the machine with the chip, stealing 200-300 milliliters of petrol with each liter.

According to the report, which claims officials, this chip would activate while filling petrol. It went on to say that the accused would utilize the remote control to take over the petrol pump.
