Overview:
Wuling, the sub-brand under SAIC-GM Wuling joint venture in China is well known for making affordable vehicles for the masses. The Company has just launched its new electric vehicle (EV) called Bingo. The new Automotive Bingo features a sedate look with an overall smooth profile and rounder tail lights and headlamps.
Wuling Bingo Specs:
The four-door EV measures 3,950/81580 with a wheelbase of a total of 2560mm. To offer some perspective, the EV Bingo is larger in every dimension as compared to the new Suzuki Swift. The Swift measures 3855/1695/1495 mm and Swift has a wheelbase of 2450 mm.
The Roundish elements can be found on the dashboard, around the AC vents, and door panels. The basic variant of the Wuling Bingo gets a small instrument screen, fabric seats, and 2 speakers. While the top-of-the-line variant has a dual-screen setup. The dual-screen setup of
the EV comprises a digital instrument panel and a 10.25-inch main screen. In addition, the EV is equipped with a voice recognition system and four speakers.
Wuling Bingo Interior:
The Wuling Bingo has a spacious interior and a truck capacity of 310 liters thanks to its relatively long wheelbase. That can expand to a staggering 790 liters with the second-row seats folded. The Interior of the vehicle had in beige/brown and black colors.
Under the hood, the basic variant Wuling Bingo comes fully equipped with a 30-kW electric motor and 17.3-kW LFP battery that is good for the 203 km of CLTC range.
Also, there is a more powerful electric motor for the 50 kW with a higher 31.9 kWh battery that provides a range of 333 km on one charge.
According to the company the Wuling Bingo can charge from 30 percent to 80 percent in just 30 to 35 minutes. While with the AC charging the EV will take 9.5 hours from 0 to fully charge.
The Wuling Bingo is available in 5 variants. The first two variants of the Bingo cost between 59,800 Yuan and 65,800 Yuan (24.65 lac PKR and 27.95 lac PKR) respectively. In Addition, the prices of higher battery motor variants fall between 73,800 Yuan to 83,800 Yuan.
Comparison with Suzuki Alto:
In comparison the Suzuki Alto VXR locally assembled 660cc in Pakistan is priced at 24.87 lac PKR while the top-of-line Suzuki Alto VXL is priced at 27.95 lac PKR.
