The Economic Coordination Committee has announced a new policy for the import cars old or new all payments will be paid in US Dollar. This policy has been applied to all imported vehicle the duty of the car and the tax of the car will be paid in foreign currency.
Under the import order of 2016 used imported vehicle was allowed to overseas Pakistanis under personal baggage, transfer of residence and gift schemes in accordance with the laid down procedures. But according to the information dealers take benefit from this policy and misuse this order. That’s why the government has announced that the duty of the car and the tax of the car whether it will be used or new will be paid in foreign currency.
