To advance the country’s automotive culture, Hyundai Motor Group announced on Wednesday that it has built its largest driving experience center in Tai’an, southern Chungcheong province. The company has opened the largest domestic “HMG Driving Experience Center,” which includes a driving experience facility and a driving test center with up to eight courses.
HMG Driving Experience Center:

According to the company’s official notification, the HMG Driving Experience Center set up within the Korea Technoring Proving Grounds lay out 1.26 million square meters. It is the biggest center in South Korea where many driving and brand experiences can had at once thanks to the addition of a 2-story, 10,223 square meter structure for customers exclusively.
It also has a second-story building that can hold 15,000 guests a year. Imported automakers including BMW, Audi, and Mercedes-Benz already operate their own driving experience programs, but only BMW has a physical location, which debuted in Incheon in 2014 as Asia’s first driving experience center.
Inauguration of Driving Experience Center:

The inauguration ceremony on Wednesday was attended by Hyundai Motor Group Executive Chairman Chung Yue-san, Hancock & Company Chairman Cho Hyun-beom, South Chungcheong Province Governor Kim Tae-Heun, and other business leaders. The automaker plans to highlight the “excellent” performance of Hyundai, Kia, and Genesis vehicles and give more consumers an opportunity to interact with the brand and the latest in automotive technology.
Courses in Driving Test Center:

The driving test center includes 8 courses such as an off-road course, a wet and dry ground circuit, a gymkhana, a slalom, and a speedway course. According to the company, the programs will offer several levels of driving instruction dependent on the visitor’s degree of driving as well as a taxi experience where guests can ride with a professional driver.
The center will also provide a number of practical amenities, including a lounge for relaxation, classrooms connected to the beginning of the course, an exhibition hall for the newest and concept cars, a simulator experience area, a dining space, and a brand shop. The driving test center will open to the public on September 16, 2022.
