The present government is working very hard to stabilize the nation’s declining economic trends. Similarly to this, regional automakers are making every effort to quickly reverse the current decline in sales, production, and earnings. Following MG Pakistan, the local competitor known as “Regal Automobiles” (DFSK) is also preparing to launch its EV portfolio in Pakistan with the introduction of two new EVs the crossover Seres 3 and Mini EV E4.
With SF Motors, Regal Automobiles Industries Limited has a contract to produce and market the “Seres” brand of electric vehicles in Pakistan.
In Santa Clara, California, SF Motors Inc. was established in January 2016 with the goal of manufacturing electric vehicles. The Chinese government gave SF Motors’ parent firm, Sokon Industry Group, approval to develop EVs at the beginning of 2017.
SERES 3

ELECTRIC CAR: MINI EV E4
The Wuling Mini EV is pure electric, powered by a lithium-ion battery with a 96V rated voltage. The battery capacity is 144Ah with a level 2 charge time of 8-9 hours; maximum power is 20 kW (27 Hp), and maximum speed is 100 km/h. The Mini EV can seat four people, and standard features include air conditioning, power windows, a stereo system, storage, and compartments. Standard safety features of the Mini EV include anti-lock brakes, tire pressure monitoring sensors, and rear parking sensors. Early models did not include a driver airbag, The Wuling Mini EV comes with a 2-year/25,000-mile bumper-to-bumper warranty.
Delivery & Launch DATE
In September 2023, Regal Automobiles and SF Motors intend to release two models for which CBU units have already been transported. Booking for CKD units will start in September, and delivery will begin in December of that same year. Beginning in November 2023, both cars will undergo CKD operations.
Conclusion
It seems automakers gearing up to improve production plans in Pakistan. The little support from the government helps them to grow up businesses. It’s also beneficial for the country as we really need EV growth. The government has already ready to support EVs production in Pakistan. But ongoing economic crisis is not in favor of import and makes EVs production costly for car makers. The early news from DFSK brings hope of new EVs and choices for customers.
