Nissan is a Japanese auto manufacturing industry and in Indonesia, it’s known as a Datsun brand but now the company has gone in the loss. At the start of this year 2020, Datsun stopped production of its car and just clear the remaining stock. On the other side, Toyota has officially renamed the nameplate of Toyota Vitz with Yaris in Japan.

Nissan was selling in Indonesia Go, Go Plus and Go Cross and also was planning to introduce these models in Pakistan with the name of Nissan Ghandhara. Ghandhara Nissan gets a Greenfield status under the Pakistan Auto Policy 2016-21 to produce a vehicle in Pakistan. After discontinued the production in Indonesia Datsun will never produce its cars in Pakistan.
The Reason Why Datsun Stopped Production:
The company has reported that in Indonesia Datsun cars are never sold on high demand and the sale was continuously declined. According to the report in 2019, only 7000 Datsun car was sold in Indonesia. There are two production plants were located in Indonesia company has plan for more production plant but the current situation was allowed them to plan for more investment. When the sales are going to decline and do not recover the cost it’s better to stop producing.
