The recent incident in Lahore of underage driving has forced authorities to take strict measures against them. Lahore Traffic Police announced a crackdown against under age drivers. The recent incident at Lahore DHA Phase 7 took the lives of six family members. The accident happened due to the driver who was underage driving. The mistake of the driver has caused of six lives lost.
The crackdown started to stop these heartbreaking incidents and ensure to not occur again. A smooth traffic system is only possible with citizen’s support. But unfortunately, it’s not in our society. Everyone knows the traffic rules and these are just for the safety of us but we didn’t follow these. At the last authorities took serious measures to control all these incidents and ensure the safety of citizens on the roads.
Crackdown Against Under Age Drivers
Recently City Traffic Police Lahore has announced the operation against illegal drivers. Around the city, they have established 200 checkpoints at various locations. At all these checkpoints they conduct strict operations and inspections to identify illegal drivers. The fine of the underage driver and this operation must control the illegal driving around the city.
The recent amendments in this operation help authorities to cut the root of these causes. The parents of underage drivers will also face strict operations because they allow the kids to drive illegally. It means behind-the-wheel parents are not safe if their kids are found driving illegally.
As per the two-day operation, CTP registered 351 cases, and hundreds of vehicles were impounded at police stations.

It’s the parent’s responsibility to guide kids regarding the rules of driving. CTP took these measures to control underage driving and reduce the accidents ratios. The recent incident has caused of big loss of a family. However, this is not only for seeking justice for victims but to avoid these types of incidents in the future. underage driving culture should stop in our society to save thousands of innocent lives.
