Overview
It is sad to convey the government message that the cheap petrol scheme is no more a part. The government has canceled the implementation of the “Sasta Petrol Scheme”. As per the announcement the Russian Oil will be the only friend of the dwindling economy. They will facilitate citizens with Russian oil. Motorbike and rickshaw owners have waited long for Sasta Petrol Scheme and it should be a read sad news for them.
Now we should wait and watch that Russian oil will be Sasta Oil for u or not. However, we can make some good hopes because the previous statements of the Ministry of Petroleum have shared hopeful messages.
Sasta Petrol Scheme Is More
The Minister of State for Petroleum Musadik Masood Malik stated that the federal government has concluded the plan to launch a cheap petrol scheme for motorcycles, rickshaws, and cars up to 800cc. He said Russian oil will be the next target for the government to offer some relief in petrol prices and control rising inflation by petrol prices.
Moreover, addressing the conference Mr.Malik didn’t disclose the price after the Russian oil reached. He said the Russian crude oil is on its way and shipment will reach Karachi port in just a few days. Ministry stated that government has trying hard to make petroleum products cheaper.
Pakistan has made an agreement with Russia at low petrol rates. If the first shipment will work then the government will further continue the import of Russian Oil and prices will be cut down.
Conclusion
The ending of the Sasta Petrol Scheme is hard to hear but the government has trying hard to give up on inflation. However, petrol is not alone affect the economic bad condition but it leads to several inflation purposes. High prices of petrol lead transportation expensive, production expensive and like other connected departments. The decrease in petroleum prices would definitely work great for inflation control.
