FAW (First Automobile Works) has muanfactured a new sub-brand in China known as BingGo .FAW will selling all-electric vehicles under this new brand.FAW already operates various sub-brands in China for example Xiali, Hongqi, Besturn, Junpai and Xenia to cater various market segments, the BinGo is yet one more addition to that list.

Images of their first (so far unnamed) vehicle have come on the internet. Just take a look at it! A nice looking car has blue detailing all around counting front & rear bumpers, grille, headlamps and rims. It has a sharp nose with sharp lights and lots of blue detailing in the region of the grille and along the bumper. It has blue wheels as well. Electric cars in China are actually distinguished from the regular ones by use of blue accents.

Power is generated from a 35kw motor capable of producing 47hp with a top speed of 100 km/h. The range however is unidentified yet. These BingGo electric vehicles will be built by Tianjin-Xiali, FAW’s subsidiary based in the port city of Tianjin.

Fascinatingly, it doesn’t give the impression of being like any other FAW product. When coming to the size, it doesn’t fit on any other FAW product. And that is extremely suspicious as FAW isn’t just known for developing new platforms. So from where is this BingGo coming from?

It is quite expected they purchased the whole vehicle from a third-party supplier, altered a few bits, put up new badges, and gave it a go. This typology of ‘vehicle development’ is very widespread in China, particularly in the EV sector.

The BingGo EV brand will assist FAW contend well in the highly competitive electric vehicle market in China.Stay tuned for more updates on BingGo EV.
