The Concept cars particularly electric ones can be a bit boring and recurring except the new retro-inspired Infiniti Project 9.
The Project 9 drags its stimulation from 1930s-era Grand Prix cars which was teased by Infiniti earlier this week .You may yet believe it’s the actual pact with its wire wheels, lengthened hood and hand-formed tail, but this model is all-new and yet packs an electric power train underneath its aluminum bodywork.

The design proposal for the Project 9 primary came about at the same time as Infiniti’s U.S. team throwed the question of what a vintage Infiniti race car may seem like if it were to survive. Lead Infiniti designer Alfonso Albaisa and his team then set to work on the car, with Nissan’s advanced engineering and area of expertise vehicle divisions also being involved.

Many notions don’t lope and coerce, but the Project 9 is a completely operational prototype. It obtains its inspiration from an electric motor (comparable to the one that will power the new Leaf) which creates 148 horsepower and 236 lb-ft of torque. It may not make much sense, but it’s sufficient to drive the 1,962 lb racer from 0-60 in a respectable 5.5-seconds and on to a restricted top speed of 105 mph. It also has unaided, recalculating ball rack steering and an old-school suspension setup that is electronically monitered. A complete blend of old and new.
