Pakistanis have to pay a large number of money to get under-spec, feature-ripped vehicles when buying a new automobile. Mostly these ‘new’ automobiles accessible for sale in our country have what’s more that is called as obsolete from the rest of the world, lacks safety equipment or is deficient in basic equipment that are common in the same car available in other markets.
The main reason for this is the lack of competition as people are enforced to buy no matter what that is presented. The situation turns out to be worse when you evaluate a Suzuki available in Pakistan with a Suzuki that is sold in the rest of the world. Miserably markets yet smaller than ours, have a better & feature-packed Suzuki on offer, match up to to the out of date and under-spec vehicles sold here.

The Ciaz sedan unveiled by Suzuki prior this year lacks a dozen features found in Sri Lankan, Nepali and even the Jaimaican versions. The entirely loaded Cultus VXL (Celerio) lacks the features found in the fully loaded international trims. This also goes for the Wagon R.

Wagon R was unveiled in 2014 as a substitute for 1000cc Alto in Pakistan. The odd looking Wagon R saw a tough time picking up sales but now significantly enhanced after already been in the market for more than 3 years. As there is no competition in its class, people are enforced to buy one if they wish to purchase a car from this sector. It should be made prominent that the Wagon R was able to exceed the average sales of Alto only in recent times in FY2016-17, despite the fact that the collective sales figures of the first three years were fewer than that of FY2016-17.

The completely equipped Wagon R VXL in Pakistan cost PKR 10.94 lac on the other hand the car misses out abundance of features set up in international variants. In India, the Wagon R is well thought-out as the most victorious Suzuki hatchback. In September 2017, it exceeded 2.0 million sales mark in India creating it one of the most successful cars there. The Wagon R in India is priced among INR 4.2 lac to Rs 5.4 lac which exchanges into PKR 6.73 lac and PKR 8.65 lac in that order.

The fully equipped Wagon R VXi+ that cost INR 5.44 lac boasts features for example:
- Driver & Passenger Airbags, Seatbelt Warning, ABS,
- Keyless Entry, Engine Immobilizer, Speed Sensing Door Locks,
- Power Steering, Power Windows (all four), Power Outside Mirrors,
- Rear Windshield Wiper, In-dash Music System 2 Din 4 Speakers,
- USB/ AUX compatibility and 5-speedAuto Gear Shift AMT transmission.
