Directorate of Customs, intelligence and investigation have started a campaign against the non-duty paid vehicles and working hard for the peace of the country.
Because of the government imposed certain restrictions on import of used vehicles, the smuggling of used cars increase in the country and this is very bad for the economy. The government imposed certain restrictions on import of used vehicles to promote and support the local cars industry, because of the import of used vehicle the local car industry destroyed badly. Local cars production industry more beneficial and profitable for the economy as compared to imported vehicles.
The Director of Customs Intelligence and Investigation Karachi Irfan Javed pass the strict order to the team against non-duty paid vehicles not allowed hitting the road. The department has successfully seized two vehicles in the Karachi. The one is 2011 registered BF-5889 Land Cruiser and the owner of this vehicle is a former home minister of Sindh Sohail Anwer Siyal. This vehicle seizes by ASO Irshad Shah with his team. At this time, the vehicle was driven by the driver of Sohail Siyal and his gunman also sit in the car and the statement of both drivers has recorded and according to their statement vehicle is belonged to Anwer Siyal.
The second vehicles are bulletproof Land Cruiser was recovered from Azam Autotronic DHA Phase-II. Authorities take strict action against the owner of the vehicles, and also investigate how these smuggled vehicles enter the country. The government will never allow anyone in the country to violate the law.
