The Company Audi held its annual media conference where with a litany of financial information about the company. Some cues to its future were revealed too in the conference.
Although! It is not a secret that Audi is taking a big step in the EV realm. The CEO of Audi Markus Duesmann hammered that point by talking about the German brand that was on the verge of the biggest product initiative in history.
It is a bold statement but the CEO backed it up by saying Audi “will launch around 20 new models by the year 2025”. A quick review of the calendar reminds us that, 2025 is less than two years from now.
However, it is not clear if the new models include mid-cycle refreshes, but this schedule puts the Automaker on track. Their main focus is to add an EV in every of its vehicle segment by the year 2027.
The CEO used the media conference just to tease one of these new models. Where the Audi E-tron Q4 is positioned below an entry-level EV. Further details weren’t mentioned but the Autocar reports it will be an A-segment hatchback. This will be much similar to the Audi A3.
The exact timeframe for the launch is not confirmed yet but the experts say it will happen in the next year.
