Chinese state-owned automobile manufacturer company, Beijing Automotive Industry Corporation (BAIC) has introduced the new Beijing X55 SUV in South Africa. It has confirmed by the Chinese company that it will release this intriguing new X55 SUV vehicle under its new sub-brand Beijing.
BAIC South Africa’s Vice President Statement:

Hugo HU, Vice President of Sales and Marketing at BAIC South Africa, stated that the company has made investments in developing intelligent vehicles under a new brand. Chinese manufacturer revealed with pride, harnessing a strategic partnership with Daimler, the company would include technologies of the storied German brand in the next models.
All-New Beijing X55 SUV:

A right-hand drive X55 SUV shows that Chinese automakers are now increasingly establishing themselves in right-hand drive markets. The brand-new Beijing X55 has an altogether distinctive appearance.
According to the BAIC official’s statement, the tiny SUV has designed with a cutting-edge aesthetic and is based on the most recent version of the Beijing Modular Functional Architecture (BMFA) platform. All BAIC’s future car models and plug-in hybrid vehicle variants will be supported by this platform.
BAIC Beijing X55 Cabin:

The new BAIC cabin features a “space-turbo” interior design. It has loaded with various innovative and safety equipment such as a CarbitLink infotainment system, smart entry and start, emergency braking assist, an electronic parking brake, hill hold control, hill descent control, driver drowsiness warnings, front and rear parking sensors, six airbags. It also has hill hold control and driver drowsiness warnings.
Specification Of Beijing X55 SUV:

When it comes to the Beijing X55 specification, under the hood, the SUV has powered by a 1.5L turbocharged engine that produces 175 horsepower and 305 Nm of torque and has paired with aDCT transmission. The company claims that the SUV can reach 100 km/h from a complete stop in just 7.8 seconds and also boasts fuel efficiency estimates of 13.88 kilometers per liter. In addition, Beijing X55 SUV offers a range of driving modes such as eco, comfort, sports, and smart.

BAIC has not yet released any information on price and launch date details. However, it’s anticipated that the X55 will formally go on sale in the South African market before the year’s end.
