Overview

Following classmates Honda and Yamaha, Pak Suzuki announced a new 0% markup plan for its motorbikes. Suzuki motorbikes are now available with a new plan but the offer is only valid for Bank Alfalah credit card holders. Meanwhile, it is not applicable to GSX 125.

After seeing a huge loss in the motorbike’s sale last. The plan will work for the company but only Bank Alfalah users can available the plan. Meanwhile, Suzuki has its own installment plan for customers which looks more beneficial. Because the new 0% markup plan will only facilitate Bank Alfalah users. it seems the company is trying hard to engage customers with sales. However, it is a trick to announce promotions and discounts for customers to increase sale value.

It’s pertinent to mention here, yesterday Suzuki announced an assembly plant shutdown for its motorbikes and cars. However, it makes a significant impact on sales and the market reputation of the company but the ongoing situation has left nothing. The unavailability of stock might be a major reason for this temporary shutdown. As per the details, the company has announced a shutdown from 22 June to 8 July 2023. Meanwhile, the motorbikes plant will shut down for 4 days.

Suzuki 0% Markup Plan

Compared to the Yamaha and Honda Atlas, Pak Suzuki’s 0% markup plan seems serviceable as it extends up to 18 months. Meanwhile, Honda and Yamaha’s 0% markup plan extends for only up to nine months.

Pak Suzuki’s own installment plan covers multiple banks and offers several benefits. In front of their house plan, only Bank Alfalah cardholders’ plan seems meaningless for customers. However, the announcement might help the company to capture customers’ attention to the new scheme or promotion. Pak Suzuki cars sale also facing a decline stage of the graph. the ongoing situation is not in favor of automakers and fell them in the worst parts of challenges.

As per the PAMA report, Suzuki only sold 820 motorbikes in the month of May which is a loss of 29.1% compared to the last month. However, motorbikes manufacturers offer different promotions to engage customers. Honda and Yamaha early offered free checkup of motorbikes to facilitate their customers.

Conclusion

The sky-rocking prices of motorbikes are the major reason for their sale breakdown. On the other side hyperinflation effect customers purchasing behavior. Suzuki’s markup plan seems attractive to engage Bank Alfalah credit card holders. Suzuki motorbikes stand in a great position in the market. The breakdown in sales disturbs the company’s revenue and overall operations. Meanwhile, LCs issues and low stock of inventory are also major reasons for their plant shutdown.
