Overview
City Traffic Police (CTP) Lahore has announced new fines for traffic violations. The step is taken to improve the overall traffic system in the city. Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Lahore Mustansar Feroz conduct a meeting at Police Lines, Qila Gujar Singh, and during a meeting, the authorities imposed Rs. 2000 fine on wrong parking and wrong-way driving. In this meeting all traffic police officers are present.
The CTO point up the zero-tolerance against the encroachment of wrong parking and illegal parking stands. He stated that violation of traffic rules is not acceptable and fine against them will be charge as per law. The purpose is to increase fines for wrong-way driving and illegal parking will effectively discourage motorcyclists to violate the law.
He strictly orders the staff to take serious action against them. The crackdown on these trends should be end now and this will be effectively working with heavy fines.
