How aggressively should a Motobot race on a scale of zero to 100% and the rest would be better specified by the human? Yamaha did great work and offered unique technology to specify a robot can perform the same way as a human. The motorbike itself looking a modern classic attraction with a top-speed performance on a motorway.
Yamaha achieved its first goal in September when the Motobot 2.0 performed on a racing track and successfully hits a speed exceeding 200km/h. It is 50km/h faster than Motorbot 1.0.
The CEO and managing director at Yamaha Motor Ventures & Laboratory Silicon Valley and the Lead of the Motobot Project Hiroshi Saijou said, “we have experienced multiple major crashes and two were catastrophic”. Nobody injured during this and both saved. Several incidents happened at low speed during the development of Motobot and the testing process.
The scenario behind this creation was to beat a very famous motorbike racer Valentino Rossi but it has not been achieved.
