Overview
Just spending a few days with the old price Peugeot 2008 announced a new price hike of Rs. 5 lacs. It seems buying a car is no more an easy task in Pakistan. You should have a lot of money in your pocket for buying a brand-new car. Moreover, make sure to check the car price before visiting the dealership because carmakers use to announce new prices just in one notification and do not consider anything else. Car prices are revised two and three times a week.
Throughout the period of upset car prices, car sales continuously face a declining graph. But still, there is no step taken to reduce the prices.
Why Car Prices Continuously Increasing
Upset economic conditions matter a lot for local production. The current unstable economic graph is a leading cause of rising inflation in the country. The rupee value depreciates day by day. Accelerating costs forced the makers to consider new prices to make the budget in the proper line. Car prices are over the budget and don’t make sense for an economical buying range.
A bundle of factors considers unstable car prices. Import duties become high due to the depreciation of the rupee value against the USD included in it. On the other side, the State Bank Of Pakistan delays LC’s approval. Not only is the cost disturbing but the manufacturing terms are also upsetting.
Peugeot 2008 New Price
Peugeot 2008 is available in two different variants and both variants’ prices revised. This is the ex-factory price mentioned by the company.
- A few days ago, Peugeot 2008 Active was available for Rs. 5,959,000 but after an increase of Rs. 500,000, it goes to Rs. 6,450,000.
- Similarly, Peugeot 2008 Allure variant price jumped by Rs. 494,000 and affected the price from Rs. 6,656,000 to Rs. 7,150,000.
Conclusion
Previously car prices increased on February 22, 2023, after the increase of GST by 1% from the government. But Hyundai, KIA, and Peugeot consider price hikes two and three-time prices without citing the major reason. They said GST and rupee depreciation forced to increase in the prices. Moreover, there is no confirmation of a price lock on the recent price hike.
