Overview
Punjab government has finally found the solution for most traffic jammed area Shahdra Chowk. Shahdra Flyover construction started and traffic plan for commuters issued to not makes trouble for citizens as well for labor. The construction plan is to resolve the daily traffic jam issue and provide smooth crossing of chowk. This is the most needed construction as it is a most using road cross for different travel routes.
Lahore City Traffic police has issued traffic plan till the construction is not completed. Do follow the instruction given by authorities to not suffer. Be patience during this time as it is to make the traffic cross easy and convenient.
Traffic Plan for Shahdra Flyover Construction
To ensure the smooth traffic during the construction period City Traffic Police has issued the plan. Shahdra Chowk will be closed from February 18, 2023. A tweet by Traffic Police come with message “ For smooth traffic a plan has been finalize for traffic, we request the citizens to cooperate with wardens and follow the instructions”.
Extra wardens are appointed at this route to ensure the traffic will work in smooth way. According to the plan three alternate routes can use which are:
- Eastern Bypass/Motorway will use to enter heavy and slow-moving commercial vehicles coming from Kala Shah Kaku and Kala Khatai to Lahore.
- Faislabad and Sheikhupora traffic can use Saggian to enter in Lahore.
- Heavy vehicles coming from Kala Shah Kaku and Begum Kot Chowk can be diversion during the construction period.

Shahdra traffic plan is issued to ensure the citizens will not face problems. Follow the instruction giving by Traffic Police to not face traffic jam. The flyover construction is started to make shahdra route easy for all citizens. This flyover also helps to reduce the pollution. When the traffic rush will control the air pollution will control.
