Surprising news for the vehicle owners, Lahore City Traffic Police have extended the driving license offices timing in Lahore for the convenience of citizens. Chief Traffic Police (CTO) Lahore, Dr. Asad Malhi stated that the working hours of Lahore driving license issuing offices have extended by two hours. This means that offices will now be open from 8 am to 6 pm in the evening instead of 8 am to 4 pm.
Driving License Offices Timing:
According to the media report, Earlier, the offices had closed at 4 pm, thus the extended time allows vehicle owners to visit the facilities more conveniently. The CTO stated to the media that citizens can now visit any of the 23 centers in Lahore under the new working hours. In addition, He added citizens can now get their driving license any time and the new working hours have implemented from November 21, 2022.
Introduced Digital Warden App in Lahore:
The Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) has introduced the Digital Warden App in Lahore to digitize the challan system. CTO Dr. Asad Malhi presided over the app launch ceremony. At this ceremony, President Cantt Superintendent of Police (SP) Asif Sadiq, City SP Shahzad Khan, Mughalpura Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) M Ashfaq, Cantt DSP Farrukh Raees, and PITBK. Senior officers including Senior Program Manager Roy Rashid were present.
Additionally, the traffic police issued challans for infractions as part of the event. The app is introduced to replace the current traditional method of producing electronic challans. Furthermore, This app will help in eliminating fake challans and challan books.
