The Sindh government plans to initiate work on the deployment of the Karachi-Sukkur Bullet Train. Sindh Information and Transport Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon has revealed that the provincial government is planning to run a bullet train between Sukkur and Karachi. Transport Minister announced this while presiding over a meeting to review the construction plans of the Yellow Line BRT project in Karachi.
Karachi-Sukkur Bullet Train Project Details:

In this regard, several officials from the transport ministry and World Bank (WB) delegation attended the meeting to discuss the Karachi-Sukkur Bullet Train Project. In the meeting, the transport minister said that the Sindh government needs the World Bank’s support as it is planning to start construction on a bullet train that would connect Karachi and Sukkur, and the province administration is actively working to improve Karachi’s transportation infrastructure.
The transport minister explained the bullet train project’s specifics, including the fact that it will launched on the Karachi-Hyderabad route during the first phase of the project, to meet the transportation needs of people. Additionally, he requested 300 buses from the World Bank for Karachi’s Peoples Bus Service, which has been running for a few months.
Yellow Line BRT Project:

Sharjeel Memon, the transport minister also gave detail to the meeting on the Yellow Line BRT project in Karachi, which is a 21-kilometer project that will begin at Dawood Chowrangi and end at Numaish. According to the conceptual design, the Karachi Yellow Line BRT project will consist of 28 stations spread over 21 kilometers (km), which will include 17.6 km at grade, and 3.2 km underground.
