Islamabad Traffic Police Started to take strict action against motorcycles without number plates in order to step up legal actions against lawbreakers. For this purpose, the department has assigned a special team on important highways and roads in the federal capital. This step has been taken by the Islamabad traffic police to control the rising number of unregistered motorcycle crimes.
Action Against Bikes Without Number Plates:

SSP Operations Islamabad, Muhammad Faisal Kamran said in an update on the department’s official social media page, the department has reportedly begun this crackdown on the orders of the Inspector General (IG), Muhammad Ahsan Younas. According to the media report, the Islamabad Traffic Police has already started operations against vehicles running on the roads without number plates. They stopped hundreds of motorcycles in different areas of the district and take legal action against them.
He further said that Islamabad is seeing a sharp rise in the number of crimes involving unregistered motorcycles, the aim of this crackdown is to reduce crime. SSP emphasized public to follow traffic rules. He added that the traffic police will continue its efforts to make people obey traffic rules and reduce crime.
Islamabad Police started Action Against Other Vehicles:

To make the highways safer for citizens, the Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) has recently ordered a crackdown on public transport vehicles using CNG cylinders as well as those vehicles without fitness certificates.
SSP Traffic Rai Mazhar Iqbal said on the occasion that Islamabad Capital Police ordered to seize of any illegally-operating vehicles on Islamabad’s highways. There should be no exception in this case. They warned the owners of vehicles without fitness certificates and public transport vehicles using CNG cylinders to expect heavy fines as well as strict legal action.
