The owners of the vehicles always want to keep your car attractive and shiny. The best way to protect the paintwork of the vehicle is Ceramic coating. The surface of the vehicle is covered with ordinary wax which helps to keep the external surface fresh, clean, and perfect.
What is Ceramic Coating?

Ceramic Coating is a chemical thermoplastic solution that is applied on the exterior of the car to protect the vehicle from the damage of exterior paint. This solution is mixed with the vehicle paint and generates an extra hydrophobic layer, due to this chemical bonding vehicle paint remains unaffected.
Ceramic coating is the best method to protect the paintwork of the vehicle from displeasing damages and scratches. It also protects the car from environmental impacts and increases the performance of the car. It works as a waterproof film and lessens the effect of water and mud on the surface.
Composition of Ceramic Coating:
The ceramic coating of the vehicle is made up of silicates, quartz sand, and polymers. These three elements protect the external side from mechanical damages. Its main component is Silicon which provides excellent adhesion of the ceramic coating to the surface. It has Aluminum oxide to enhance the hydrophobic properties and titanium dioxide that provides transparent shine to the car.

Types of Ceramic Coating:
There are four types of ceramic coatings.
1. PTFE- Based Spray:
PTFE- Based sprays is also known as Teflon- based spray which generates a superhydrophobic surface with limited protection against heat and builds a non-stick surface.
2. SIO boost spray:
SIO boost spray has silicon dioxide and titanium dioxide. SIOs use nanotechnology that passes spray into the very small areas of the car and makes a strong foundation layer to protect from damage.
3. Nano Coating:
Nano coating perfect coating which is used by professional retailers. It can reach all microscopic spaces and protect from UV rays, swirl marks, and many other scratches.
4. Graphene-Based Ceramic Coating:
Graphene is stronger and a more water-resisting agent as compared to the other three types. Graphene is made up of carbon items layers and is put on the upper surface vehicle for a long-lasting effect.

How Long Does Ceramic Coating Last:
Ceramic coating is a strong and durable layer on the surface of vehicles. The ceramic coating may last from a few months to years.
Benefits of Ceramic Coating:
There are various benefits of ceramic coating. These benefits are mentioned below;
1. Anti-scratch protection:
The ceramic coating is an anti-scratching layer. It protects the surface of the vehicle from scratches or any possible damage and keeps it perfect and untouched
2. UV rays protection:
The sunshine UV rays also damage the surface of the vehicle. The ceramic coating protects the paint of the vehicle from oxidizing and also preserves it from a fading and dim look of the car’s exterior.
3. Chemical stain protection:
Acidic pollution in the air can also damage the surface of the car. The ceramic coating prevents these chemical contaminations from the paint surface.
4. Corrosion protection:
Ceramic coating is perfect for vehicle surfaces because the factory coating is different from the environment. When the ceramic coating is applied it helps to remove the corrosion from the surface of the car.
5. Easy Wash and Shine:
The ceramic coating makes the vehicle surface glossy and mirror-like. Titanium dioxide in the coating reflects light on the surface of the car. Due to hydrophobic coating, it is much easier to wash and dirt & dust are easily removed from the surface of the car.

Disadvantages of Ceramic Coating:
As the ceramic coating has various benefits it also has its disadvantages. You must mind these disadvantages before coating a car.
Long Procedure:
The duration of the ceramic coating procedure is long, it can take much more time than sealant.
Not Complete Stain Protection:
Ceramic coating is not completely scratched-resistant. It cannot prevent all types of the scratches like swirl marks, rock chips, etc.
High Cost:
The price of ceramic coating is very high, it is suitable for more expensive vehicles. Everyone cannot afford the ceramic coating.
Not Long-Lasting Coating:
Ceramic coating is not long-lasting. In the vehicle surface the gloss and hydrophobic properties of gone dull and vanish over time.
