The Land Rover is a British automobile company and they are famous for their four-wheel drive and off-road vehicles. It is owned by an international brand Jaguar Land Rover shortly known as JLR. Currently, they are producing vehicles in China, Brazil, Slovakia, the United Kingdom, and India. The name Land Rover was created back in 1948 by The Rover company and at that time this name was given for their off-road vehicles. Still, they are carrying their legacy and still producing the world’s best off-road luxury SUVs.
Body Structure
Initially, they started production on a significant box-Body frame, and for the half-century from their foundation in 1948 to 1997, they relied on their trademark box-Body vehicle frames. Free Lander was introduced in 1997. They used their original frame until the termination of their original defender in 2016. Their last body-on-frame model was replaced by a monocoque in 2017 with the third-generation discovery. Since then, all land rovers and range rovers are built on a unified body and frame structure.
Till 2010 they were producing only 4WD vehicles for 62 years but, since 2010 they started producing 2WD variants for both Freelander and the Evoque. Discovery Sports 2WD is the successor of Freelander and it is available in some markets.
The New 2022 Range Rover
Overview
Land Rover is continuously trying to bring innovation and technology along with a Luxurious driving experience. After successfully ruling with its fourth generation, on Wednesday Jaguar Land Rover introduced the New Fifth Generation The New Range Rover 2022 which is expected to be in the market later in 2022.
If someone has the hunger for magnificence and grandeur then Range Rover is successfully delivering that. Range Rover is introducing its new models with an all-wheel-drive option and definitely with Land Rover’s signature off-road capabilities and also with a luxurious driving experience in the same machine. Land Rover is giving all these options in all their models even many of the owners haven’t experienced its off-roading and Sports Driving capabilities. It is powered by an in-line six-cylinder turbocharged engine which allows you to drive in every road condition, whether it’s a highway or its off-road. It has a very amazing luxurious cabin which is very spacious and comfortable to make your journey more relaxed, easy, and smooth. 3rd row is a bit less spacious which gives enough room for the kids only.
What’s in it
It is the new Fifth Generation Range Rover 2022. It has a familiar iconic ‘Range Rover’ look but it is with modern updates. It is coming with both Standard Wheel Base (SWB) and Long Wheel Base (LWB) options. It is offering a seven-seater option for the first time in an extended-wheelbase variant. It has adaptive air suspension as standard range Rover and along with that, it has Petrol, Diesel, and Plug-in hybrid options.
Variants
This new Range Rover 2022 luxury SUV will be offered in 3 variants which will be SE, HSE, and Autobiography, and will be available in 5 different exterior colors. Each of these variants can be bought with a standard wheelbase (SWB) or long-wheelbase (LWB). Along with this, it will be available in four-, five- and seven-seater options, and obviously the seven-seater option will be available in the Long Wheel Base variant.
PowerHouse
You will have a choice of Petrol, Diesel, and Plug-in hybrid engines. This amazing machine is powered by a turbocharged 3.3-liter inline Six-cylinder engine and its power is transferred to All-wheels with the help of 8-speed automatic transmission. The engine is controlled by a 48-volt hybrid system and it produces a power of 355Hp. The hybrid system is installed to make it more fuel-efficient and economical and eco-friendly. However, if you want more power then you should go for the HST model which gives a power of 395Hp. It can go from 0-60 mph in only six seconds and with this weight and bulky look, this acceleration is pretty impressive. It can achieve a top speed of 140 mph.
If you go for LWB and Autobiography then that monster will be powered by a 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8 Engine
Exterior
The exterior is mostly the same as the standard Range Rover as before. It will be difficult to guess the difference between the new and previous versions. If we have a look on the front side then it’s approximately the same as before but the new addition to the headlights is that these are fitted with All-LED tech. It got a new bumper design and the SV version has a grille specifically designed for this model only.
There is s steel trim on the front door. One can think that this may have any functionality but it doesn’t. It is there just to reduce free space between front fenders and doors. It is coming with 20-inch alloy wheels in the basic version but it also has the option of 23-inches alloy wheels in the upgraded version. If we want to see the difference between SWB and LWB then we can see from the side that the rear door of Long Wheel Base is a bit longer than that of the standard wheelbase.
The Range Rover sports will get an amazing new rear look. It has ultra-thin brake lights with are extended to the width of the rear door. There are no visible exhaust pipes.
Interior
We can see that the exterior of the new range rover is almost similar but its interior is really different and upgraded from the previous one.
First of all, it has a new twin-spoke designed modern steering wheel which is equipped with touch-sensitive buttons. The dashboard has full-width air vents and the cockpit is equipped with a 13-inch Led infotainment system which is controlled by the new Land Rover’s Pivi Pro Software which supports apple car play, Android car play, and Alexa by Amazon. There is also a voice command option through which you can control the interior lights.
You can choose your customized interior either leather or fabric and the color of your choice. You can have a seven-seater version in the Long Wheel Base variant which gives you an extra third row of seats. The four-seat version has the option of a folding table and a cool box with built-in champaign flutes. You can also have the rear seats 11-inches entertainment system and 13-inch rear seats entertainment system in SV Models.
Safety Features
The New Range Rover 2022 comes with previous standard safety features like Adaptive Cruise Control, Front Collision Warning, and emergency braking along with a standard line assist system.
Price
Range Rover is a name of Luxury, comfort, and class. Its new 2022 model will start from 105,000 USD and with all available options installed it will go to 165,000 USD approximately.
