Mercedes India has launched its Made-in-India Mercedes in CKD unit and with the starting price of 16.2 million INR for S-Class S450 4matic 2021 and 15.7 million INR for S-Class S350d 2021 and both of these prices are ex-showroom prices.

About Mercedes-Benz India
Mercedes-Benz India is the initiator of the Luxury car market in India. In 2009 they started their production facility in Chakan near Pune which is spread over 100 acres. In 2015 they expanded their production facility located in the same location. They are not also producing for India but also playing an important role in CKD/MVP production network in Brazil, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, and Vietnam.

IN 2021 Mercedes-Benz decided on the advanced and customer-focused ‘direct to customer model, called ‘Retail of the Future (ROTF)’. According to this new business plan, Mercedes-India will have the entire stock of cars, will sell them, via advance booking, and invoice the new cars directly to the clients, process the order, and will fulfill them, offering them transparent prices and purchasing experience.
Made-in-India:
Due to very high demand for the most luxurious vehicle in India, Mercedes-Benz India decided to launch its CKD unit in India, and finally, they have launched its first Made-in-India Mercedes Benz S-Class in India at the starting price of 16.2 million INR for S-Class S450 4matic and 15.7 million INR for S-Class S350d and both of these prices are ex-showroom prices. Previously prices were very higher because they used to import CBU units and due to duties and taxes the prices were higher. Previous S-Class S450 4matic was available at the price of 21.7 million INR and 21.9 million for S400d 4matic and these prices were also ex-showroom prices. From the initial release till now the S-Class was sold in CBU units. Mercedes has already won the award of 2021 World Luxury Car in India and received enormous response due to this. Due to its increasing demand and prodigious response from the customers, the company has decided to start its production in India from their Chakan plant in Pune.
Features:
Initially and visually, it seems that Made-in-India Mercedes will hang on to all the designated elements from its CBU mother with some additional ingredients a new amazing grille with three parallel slats, Lustrous, and smooth LED Head Lamps, and will be offered with the latest and amazing Driving Assistance 5.0. It will include a Distronic Plus® with steering assist, Blind Spot Assist or Active blind spot assist, and lane-keep assist. It also includes Presafe® System.
Distronic Plus®:
This system has a radar system that helps to maintain the speed of the vehicle in slow-moving traffic and it will reduce the speed of the vehicle according to the flow of traffic.
Presafe Plus®:
This system includes sensors in the rear bumper of the vehicle which will detect the rear-end collision and once the collision is sensed then it will automatically pull the brakes to avoid the crash.

If we talk about the security of this vehicle then we can see that now users can use fingerprint sensors and voice recognition.
Interior:
The new S-Class is now converted into heaven while someone is traveling from his home to workplace. Nearly all necessary things related to comfort have been improved in the front as well as on the rear seats. The interior gives the person really a lounge-like feeling.

The interior of the new Mercedes will look most stunning with Nappa Leather Upholstery with diamond cross stitching that highlights the premium look of the new S-Class. It has an amazing entertainment system powered by Burmester 4D surround sound system which includes 15 speakers and 8 resonators.

When someone needs to travel then he must be relaxed but not tense while driving or traveling. Up to 19 motors in the seats help the passenger to adjust seats according to his comfort and relaxation level. The seats of this amazing machine also offer ten different massage programs which are driven by vibration motors and increase the result of relaxing massage.

MBUX:
MBUX has completely changed the operations of Mercedes and now second-generation MBUX debuts in the S-Class. This helps to make its interior more digital and has five large OLED technology displays. Voice technology is the latest as now we don’t have to say the keyword “Hey Mercedes” to start the voice command.
Exterior:
The S-Class is considered as a trend initiator in its segment. The new generation continues this tradition. With a small front overhang, a huge wheelbase, and a proper rear overhang, the S-Class is manufactured as a classical sedan with perfect proportions.

PowerHouse:
This monster, Mercedes-Benz S-Class S450 4matic is powered by a 3.0 Litre, in-line 6 Cylinder, petrol turbo engine which produces 367hp and the torque of 500 Nm, while S-Class S350d is powered by 2,925cc in-line 6-cylinder diesel engine which gives 286ho and torque of 600Nm. Both engines transfer their power to all four wheels with the help of 9-speed automatic transmission. It has an acceleration of 100 kilometers per hour in 5.1 seconds and 6.4 seconds of both S450 4matic and S350d respectively. The top speed of both cars is 250 KMPH.
