The government of Pakistan has fulfilled its promised to produce an electric car in Pakistan and take the first step regarding this project. Pakistan has launched the first electric car company in Pakistan with the partnership of China named Topsun MR Motors. The company has opened its door in Lahore Jail Road 3rd January 2020.
According to the details, the Provincial Minister of Punjab for housing, urban development and public health engineering, Mian Mehmood-ur-Rasheed attending this opening ceremony along with the Managing Director of Topsun motors Malik Riaz. China has ready for full support of Pakistan to produce electric vehicles in the country.
The opening of Topsun is the starting of the new automobile technology in Pakistan. This step will encourage other investors to invest in Pakistan and help to implement National Electric Vehicle Policy in Pakistan. In this opening occasion, Minister has praised its neighbor country’s help to move on to the latest technology.
Moreover, china shows its keen interest to invest in Pakistan. In the opening ceremony, Topsun Motors has shown its 4 vehicles in which one is hatchback and 3 are JMC vehicles. Topsun Motors has introduced the first electric hatchback in Pakistan and the name of this hatchback is Zoyte Z100 and the engine power of this car is 1000cc. The company has also introduced the JMC vehicle with a single cabin and double cabin option. You can book these vehicles with the following price tag:

Note here, the prices of these vehicles are inclusive of withholding tax. These vehicles are engine-based and the company has wait for implementation of National Electric Vehicle Policy (NEVP) to introduce electric cars in Pakistan’s local auto market. The current variant of Z100 is a manual transmission company has planned to launch an automatic variant soon in the local auto market. The other interesting thing about Z100 is its have 300Km range with a one-time charge. The price of electric power Z100 will be around 1.9-2 million.
