Prime Ministry Imran Khan pass the order to the Ministry of Climate control to work on the production of Electric Vehicle and provide the 30% Electric Vehicle in the market.
The increasing oil import badly affects our economy and the increasing prices of oil will not bearable for all citizens. Electric vehicle policy will not only beneficial for the cut of oil import but also help the environment to reduce the carbon emission.
A challenging environment for EVs
The electric vehicle is a challenge for the local car industry because the production of the electric vehicle directly affects the sales of local cars. Local car industry finger out on the government plan to introduce an electric vehicle in the country and they said electric vehicle effect the local automobile of the country and the encouragement of electric vehicle will decrease their sales. Local auto manufacturer said that the electric vehicle policy promotes the import of completely built units (CBUs) rather of local manufacturer.
All over the production of electric vehicles increased just because finished the pollution the worldwide automobile industry produce electric vehicles across 3 million. The world is moving to touch the highest technology for facilitating but Pakistan still producing the combustion vehicles. The step prime minister takes for an electric vehicle is a sign that Pakistan also tries to move and meet with highest technology powers.
The localization automobile industry is more beneficial for the economy as compared to the import of vehicles. The local automobile industry faces a hard time because of the import of electric vehicles and because of this local automobile suffer. But the electric vehicle is necessary need of our country to control the future expenses and oil import.

In Pakistan, it is not easy to manufacture an electric vehicle because the country already faces the electricity crisis. But the government has promised to solve out the electricity crisis in the future and promise to construct the dam in the coming years to resolve the electricity crisis. The government is very serious about the plan to manufacture an electric vehicle in the country.
According to the current situation of the country, it is not possible to promote the electric vehicle policy because first it compulsory to erase the electricity crisis then it is possible to encourage the electric vehicle in the country. The shortage of electricity in the country is a big challenge for the electric vehicle policy because it highly depends on it.
