Atlas Honda Increases Bike Prices By 3%

This is for the third time in the year that Honda has brought about the increase in its market prices. It has been unveiling out that the Atlas Honda Limited (AHL) has increased bike prices by Rs. 500-3,000 as due to the devaluation of the rupee against the dollar despite achieving over 90 per cent localisation. It has been highlighted away that the company has raised the price of CD-70 after a gap of three years by Rs. 500 to Rs. 64,000. The new price of CD-70 Dream and so as the Pridor is now fixed at Rs. 68,500 and Rs. 88,000, up Rs. 1,000 while the price of CG-125 has been raised by Rs. 1,500 to Rs. 109,000.

In the same way, CG-125 Delux and also the CB-150 will now cost Rs129,500 and Rs165,000 from the time of April 2, 2018, after a jump of Rs 3,000 per bike. Nevertheless, the sector of Pakistan Association of Automotive Parts and Accessories Manufacturers (Paapam) on its website claimed that the range of 92pc localisation has been achieved for bikes. On the whole, the import bill as in view with the completely- and semi-knocked down kits of two-wheelers rose to the amount of $69 million from $56m in the same period last fiscal that has been up by 23pc. Honda Atlas is expected to achieve on with the sales of 1.1 million units by end of its financial year ending March 31 as while it aims to hit sales of 1.3m bikes in its next financial year.

The company has stated out the fact that the improvement in the law and order condition in Karachi has been on the whole boosted with overall sales of Honda bikes to over 50,000 units per annum. The sales hovered around the region of the 10,000-12,000 units as some three years back due to lawlessness in the megacity. There has been some lack of public transport has also pushed up demand for two-wheelers. The dealers have often brought out the statement that the share of Honda 70cc in company’s overall sales ranges between 42-45pc followed by 40pc market share by 125cc.

We all know that Atlas Honda is one of the leading motorcycle market giants and has raised prices for its units from PKR 900-2,000. This is the 3rd time in the duration span of 6 months the company has increased the price. As because of the weaker currency of rupee, the price rate of the imported parts have become more expensive that has thus the increase in the price of the vehicles.
Previously, in January and April, the brand increased its sector of the bike prices by Rs500-1,000 and Rs500-3,000 respectively. In January, the prices were increased as mentioned below models:
Honda CG-125
100CC Pridor
Honda CG-125 Deluxe

 

 

 

In April, they increased their price in the below-mentioned models:

Honda CG-125 Deluxe
CD-70
CD-70 Dream
CB-150F
