Hyundai has showed the first images of the new fourth-generation 2018 Santa Fe,that will be offered for booking in its home market of South Korea starting tomorrow. The SUV acquires an all-new look plus a range of infotainment and safety technologies.
The design has dual-tier headlights comprising slim upper daytime running lights and larger main lighting units lower down. There’s too the cascading grille that is quickly becoming a Hyundai signature, together with prominent squared-off wheel arches and a muscular shoulder line that stretches crosswise the full length of the vehicle.
Coming to the inside, there is a three-tier dashboard – the freestanding infotainment display is placed on the top, after that the slim air vents in the middle and the rest of the switchgear down under. Hyundai says the cabin uses high-quality materials and colors, and prioritizes customer handiness.

This enables the system to recognize more natural speech patterns, for example when asking for route guidance to a precise location.
Coming to the safety frontage, the Santa Fe will come into view as standard in Korea having the :
- Forward Collision Warning (FCW) and Avoidance Assist(FCA), Lane Keeping Assist (LKA),
- Lane DepartureWarning (LDW), Driver Attention Warning (DAW) and High Beam Assist (HBA).
- There are also an amount of other technologies that are eithera world first, or an initial for the Hyundai Motor Group.
Engine choices comprise of a 2.0 litre turbo petrol and 2.0 & 2.2 litre turbodiesels, even though no output figures have been released yet. An eight-speed automatic transmission and Hyundai’s HTRAC all-wheel drive system are standard throughout the range.
