In consequence of ongoing Rupee devaluation next to US Dollar, auto companies in Pakistan are in a course of revising their product price tags. Following Toyota and Pak Suzuki, Al-Haj FAW Motors has also revised the price tags of its vehicles. It has raised PKR 30,000 to up to 50,000 on each one of its vehicles. The effects of current devaluation of Rupee against Dollar are now being implemented on different sectors of the country and one of the sectors is the automobile sector.
Furthermore, the oil sector was also vulnerable because of the devaluation of rupee and the government lifted up the prices of oil products. This is actually being criticized by transporters and local commuters alike.
FAW Carrier and X-PV variants have speculated an increase of 30,000 whereas the price of V2 has been increased with an addition of PKR 50,000. The update prices are:
- Carrier Deckless PKR 7.79 lac
- Carrier Flatbed PKR 7.89 lac
- Carrier Standard PKR 7.99 lac
- X-PV Standard PKR 8.99 lac
- X-PV Dual AC PKR 9.49 lac
- V2 PKR 11.19 lac
It is predictable that Honda will also amplify the prices of its vehicles. The New Year has proved to be an overwhelming one for Pakistanis, as prices of many products have increased radically. And analysts are also predicting that the prices would be lifted up further in the coming days.
