Overview
The Punjab government stepped toward modernization technology. After the online learner driving license facility City Traffic Police Lahore (CTPL) now introduces the renewal of driving license online. Through this facility citizens can renew their driving licenses online from 1st January 2024. It’s pertinent to mention here that the CTPL also announced the increased rate of annual license fees.
The Punjab government is converting the system online to make an easy way for citizens. It will help to reduce the rush at driving license centers. Since the Punjab government has started a crackdown operation against illegal and under-age drivers, they have experienced a lot of rush for licenses. The online learner permit system makes an obvious approach for citizens to get a learner permit.
Renew Driving License Online
Earlier City Traffic Police Lahore (CTPL) just tweeted about the renewal of online driving licenses “Citizens can renew their license online for one, three, five and ten years, candidates can avail this opportunity from 1st January 2024”. The step has been taken towards the modernization of the system and making it convenient for everyone.
There is another great announcement for international driving licenses. According to the details, the 20-year-old Oracle system has been replaced with a new digital “NET” system. International and local driving licenses can be downloaded online and candidates don’t need to make a physical appearance at the driving center for a driving test. Moreover, the international driving license will remain valid for three years.

Conclusion
Driving without license will make you in serious trouble because Police directly shifted illegal drivers to police station along with vehicle. The fine has been also increased for driving-license less drivers. There is no compensation for anybody. To ensure the every driver own a driving license authorities has made everything to an easy approach. They opened new driving camps in Lahore at different locations to facilitate citizens.
