Revving the engine before it warms up:

It’s a good idea to always let your car warm up before revving it. For all time keep the engine running when at rest, for about 2 minutes to let the engine get to optimal temperatures for it to be able to handle the load being put on it. Revving the engine when it’s cold, affect the temperature of car to change unexpectedly, this can stress the engine.
Resting your hand on the gear knob:

This is a very widespread practice by people who drive manual transmission vehicles. Despite the fact that it may not appear harmful or bad. Leaving your hand on the shifter puts strain on the transmission’s bushings causing premature wear. It’s always better to have both hands on the steering wheel.
Carrying too much weight:

The supplementary the weight on the car, the extra the amount of stress on the drive train, suspension and brakes. Additional weight on a car also boosts fuel consumption. Driving with a lot of pointless weight can damage the car.
