The sales of cars have suffered recently as a result of significant production reductions and price increases. Particularly weak sales were recorded in July and August by Pak Suzuki Motor Company (PSMC), Toyota Indus Motor Company (IMC), and Honda Atlas Cars Limited (HACL). Some cars show to sell well despite obstacles in the national economy and trade, in particular, Hyundai Nishat Motors Private Limited (HNMPL) outsold HACL last month, which is a significant achievement. The official sales data of non-PAMA (Pakistan Automotive Manufacturers Association) members Kia, Changan, Proton, Haval, MG, Prince-DFSK, and United were not disclosed.
List of 5 Best Selling Cars In August:
Here we will show the list of five best-selling cars in August, which is as follows:
1.Honda City:

Honda City, the small sedan triumphed over rival subcompacts including the Suzuki Swift and Toyota Yaris, as well as the Toyota Corolla, one of the most loved vehicles in Pakistan. After its sales in the last few months, the Honda City is gaining undebatable popularity among its customers. Last month, Honda Atlas Cars Limited (HACL), which came last, sold just 830 units in the city. However, if the automaker figures out how to deal with import challenges, its sales could rebound.
2. Hyundai Tucson:

With its star crossover Hyundai Tucson, Hyundai Nishat Motors Private Limited (HNMPL) has unexpectedly made it to the best seller list. The sales of Hyundai Tucson last month were excellent at 985 units, beating numerous other top sellers on this list. However, according to the recent price and tax rate hikes, it seems that future sales of any crossover SUVs, including the Tucson, will remain below the 1,000-unit mark.
3. Toyota Yaris:

August saw an increase in Toyota sales. In particular, the sales of the Toyota Yaris increased by 102 percent from July to August. Toyota Indus Motor Company (IMC) has sold 1,306 units of Toyota Yaris last month, making it the third best-selling car in Pakistan.
4. Toyota Corolla:

Another value addition is the Toyota Corolla which has regained its position as the best-selling sedan in Pakistan despite a tough manufacturing month. Given the continued operational depression, Toyota IMC sold 1,595 Corollas in July 2022, a strong performance for a small vehicle.
5. Suzuki Alto:

Despite a sharp fall in sales, the Suzuki Alto continues to keep its position as the most popular vehicle in Pakistan. For the eighth consecutive month this year, PSMC sold 2,293 units of the Alto, making it Pakistan’s best-selling vehicle.
