Today we are going to share with you surprising news, Subaru automobile manufacturer debuts its first compact SUV 2023 Subaru Rex in Japan. After being Produced in three generations from 1972 to 1992, Now automaker serves Rex as the smallest crossover in the range. The Rex has revived for 2023 under the guise of the Daihatsu Rocky with Subaru badges both inside and out. The sub-compact crossover promises outstanding safety and comes with a naturally aspirated three-cylinder gasoline engine.
Trim Levels and Price:
The company has offered the two trim levels Rex G and Rex Z of the new 2023 Subaru Rex in Japan. The price of the 2023 Subaru Rex in Japan starts from 1.82 million yen for the Rex G variant to 2.171 million yen for the top-spec Rex Z variant which is almost equal to PKR 27.82 lac to PKR 33.19 lac.
2023 Subaru Rex Design:

If that sounds too familiar, that’s because the new Rex basically looks like a rebadged Daihatsu Rocky but with a few changes, the most apparent of which is the more compact front grille design and Subaru badges both inside and out. The all-new REX is just similar to Toyota and Daihatsu from LED headlights to alloy wheels, as well as distinct LED combination taillights and body cladding. Its Forester-like grille that gives it a more premium look makes it different from them and it even has the option of a black roof.
Interior and Features:

Except for minor variations, the cabins of the two versions are also nearly identical in terms of the seats treated and a few pieces of interior décor. While the G version gets 16-inch wheels, a manual handbrake, a urethane steering wheel, and a 7-inch digital instrument cluster among the various specifications. And the Z variant has 17-inch wheels, an electronic parking brake, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, and a 9-inch touchscreen head unit with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
Specifications of All-New Subaru Rex:
In terms of Subaru Rex specifications, both variants are powered by a WA-VE 1.2L naturally-aspirated three-cylinder petrol engine that is good for 86 hp horsepower and 113 Nm torque. In addition, It comes with front-wheel drive & paired to a CVT gearbox. Thus, the company claims fuel consumption of 20.7 km/l as per the WLTC test cycle.
